Our Priorities

Operationalizing a coordinated and strategic approach to supportive housing that prioritizes the safety, stability, and well-being of residents and staff, centered on the voices and perspectives of residents with lived expertise.

  • Advocating for a spectrum of housing and service delivery options to meet the diverse needs of our residents to ensure all levels of acuity can be supported in the appropriate setting.

  • Redesigning the current coordinated intake and entry system to ensure equitable access, expedited referrals and appropriate placements based on service needs. Coordinated Entry is a component of the homelessness response system that assesses and connects people experiencing homelessness to available housing resources based on their unique needs.

  • Advocating for a City budget that provides sustainable permanent supportive housing by:

    • funding quality housing with adequate levels of safety, health, and wellness supports

    • ensuring living wages for our staff, many of whom have lived experience with homelessness, financial and housing instability.

  • Ensuring supportive housing staff diversity through inclusive hiring and promotion practices so that residents see themselves reflected in those that serve them.

  • Collaborating closely with the Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing and other City partners to increase efficiency and progress in key areas, including housing retention/eviction prevention, decreasing vacancies, and improved access to behavioral health  and safety.
