The Supportive Housing Provider Network (SHPN) is an advocacy and capacity-building group of supportive housing providers that strive to inform, improve, and respond to policies, systems, and funding issues that impact permanent supportive housing in San Francisco.
Our collective mission is to promote the well-being and stability of residents by enriching the quality and sustainability of the City’s permanent supportive housing system. We are committed to providing housing that centers the perspectives and needs of residents and the staff that support them.
Our network is an engaged group of nonprofit organizations that receive funding through local, state, and federal sources, as well as private philanthropy. Together, we operate over 140 permanent supportive housing sites, providing homes to more than 8,000 individuals and families.

We envision a City where everyone is housed and where those who need or want supportive housing can quickly access it regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, age, religion, sexual orientation, or lack of income.
We aspire to create a supportive housing system where all are equally seen, heard, valued, and respected.
We are committed to racial, economic, and social justice and believe that addressing homelessness requires systemic redistribution of power and access to opportunity, particularly for marginalized populations.
